Welcome to Melmerby Play and Pre-School

Melmerby Play and Pre-School is held in Melmerby Village Hall and has a wide variety of equipment available. There are 24 places for children aged between 2 years and 5 years. Parents of children who are just starting Playgroup are welcome to stay and help their child settle in, initially.
We welcome children of all backgrounds, abilities and nationalities, and once your child has been registered they may start as soon as a place is available. Generally, places are allocated on a first come basis.
We are registered members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and are registered by North Yorkshire Social Services and inspected by Ofsted. We can accept government funding for some 3 and 4 year olds. We received an excellent Ofsted Report in the recent inspection in April 2009. We provide a varied curriculum to help the children develop physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.
